We have recently done what you have been asking us about for so long. So now it is possible to use proxies to run Liberator! SOCKS4/5 or HTTP(s) proxies can be used by both an advanced user and anyone without any technical skills. How? Let’s learn more about it.
SOCKS is an Internet protocol. It swaps packets between clients and servers with a proxy server, a bridge between you and the rest of the internet. SOCKS performs at Layer 5 of the OSI model, the session level.
The most recent SOCKS protocol specification is SOCKS5. It uses UDP and TCP protocol connections to forward traffic and supports various types of traffic generated by protocols, such as HTTP, SMTP, and FTP.
💪 Bypassing
SOCKS4/5 makes some servers accessible that may be closed to arbitrary IP addresses by hiding a real one. Some HTTP proxies can only work with web pages, while SOCKS4/5 can process any traffic.
In some cases, blocking imposed by state authorities can also be overcome this way.
☝️Improved speed and performance
SOCKS5 proxies use the UDP protocol. It speeds up transmissions by enabling the transfer of data before an agreement is provided by the receiving party.
⚫ Create a text file and name it “proxies.txt” in the folder where the app is located.
⚫ Open the .txt file and add specific proxies.
⚫ They might look like these (see the pic. below).
If with a password: socks5: // user: [email protected]: 1080
